4,000 hours raised at Edmonton’s 2nd Timeraiser! Next up: Ottawa!
This past Saturday, if you were in Edmonton, the place to be was the TransAlta Arts Barn for the 2nd annual Edmonton Timeraiser. Leading up the to Timeraiser, we are grateful to Mack D. Male for having facilitate a pre-Timeraiser WestJet Contest. Via his blog he asked Edmontonians how they are making their community a better place. Check out the entries here. The winner of the pair of WestJet tickets, Christina Muran, wrote that in addition to volunteering on a Board of Directors she, “…[educates herself] on a daily basis as to what is happening in our city, ie. This way, instead of complaining about how Edmonton sucks, I can help to make this city better.”
At the Timeraiser we gave away another pair of tickets, courtesy of WestJet. From the 50+ entries, the winner was Shauna McConechy (@outinc) who tweeted, “Edmontonian’s rock! 1st Edmonton Timeraiser: 4,145 Volunteer Hours Raised

On Saturday October 17th over 300 people energetically rolled into TransAlta Arts Barns to experience the 1st Edmonton Timeraiser. Online levitra Once the preliminary matching was complete, he or she was eligible to bid on artwork using volunteer time. A special thanks to our volunteers and other supporters for making this inaugural Timeraiser so successful. Here are some quick Timeraiser results:
- Over 300 people attended with 180 participants making the ‘pledge’.
- 4,145 total volunteer hours pledged, of which 50% pledged by art bidders. Levitra pill

- 20 Timeraiser volunteers contributed 1,000+ hours to organize.
