Food Security and U-picking Summer Eats
One of my favourite late summer activities is to take a drive out to the many vegetable farms west of Toronto and hand-pick fresh, local produce. One of my all-time favourite spots is Ferket’s, just outside of London, Ontario.

The drive to Ferket’s is convenient for me, since we often v Viagra levitra isit family in London and St. Thomas. Ferket’s, in a word, is a dream. It is a privilege to show up at a place that has seemingly endless veggie options, all available Kauf von viagra to be hand-picked, sometimes in the mud, by you. Levitra pas cher There are fresh vegetables as far as you can possibly see – from giant squash to tiny, delicate habernaro peppers. Prospecto levitraI will admit th Brand viagra at I did go a little overboard with my selections this year. Pastillas levitra You’ll see from the photo below that the only way to wash all of my new produce was to stick it in our bathtub. That’s right, the bathtub. Levitra prix pharmacie What’s even more amazing is that this entire lot of vegetables only cost me $27. Buying directly from the source and picking the vegetables myself meant I collected over 60lbs of food for only $27.
I have always regarded this trip as a foodie adventure; a chance to pick out the best possible produce for an affordable price. The trip to various farms gives me an opportunity to find more about where the food I eat comes from, and some unique ways to cook and store the Levitra contraindicaciones food for the long, cold winter. In what seems to be interesting timing, just after finishing my last canning project, Dave at Meal Exchange emailed our team to let us know about MX’s new Food Security quiz. I am passionate about local food issues, but admit that I was not aware of some of the key components that define Food Security in Canada – challenges of Accessibility, Availability and Acceptability. Quality of food matters, the ability to purchase food at an affordable rate, in a local accessible area matters. Viagra sin receta And there is a lot we can do to learn more Viagra alternatives about food sustainability. Purchase viagra online Viagra bestellung My trip to Ferket’s became all that more relevant as I learn more about food challenges affecting Canadians. There are ways for Canadians to eat better food at an affordable rate, but it’s certainly not always easy. Levitra pill Viagra sale I encourage you to check out Meal Exchange’s Food Security quiz to learn more.
As a nerdy side note, Meal Exchange has just launched their brand new trickoreat.ca. Not only is it a great resource for MX’s star event, but the site itself is a geeky achievement. The Trickoreat site is build on WordPress, with c Viagra for women ontent populated from Twitter and Flickr feeds. It’s also tied into Salesforce.
