2009 Framework Annual Review

2009  has  been  a  heck  of  a  year.  We  launched   two  new  Timeraiser  cities  this  year  –  Edmonton  and  Hamilton  – bringing  the  total  count  to  6   cities.  We  are  looking  to  expand  to  other  cities   in  2010/2011. Please take a moment to read our 2009 Annual Review(PDF). We are quite thrilled with the results, and we hope you are to. Here is a quick snap shot of what we accomplished in 2009:

  • Invested $107,000 in the careers of emerging Canadian artists
  • Engaged 2,100 Canadians to pick up a cause
  • Launched the Civic Footprint program
  • Launched a new capacity building program called Organizational Pilates

This is also a great time to share two pieces of great news:

The first is that Framework was acknowledged at Salesforce.com’s annual conference. Salesforce.com Foundation donates their software to over 7,500 charities across the world. We were 1 of 4 charities nominated for their Appy Awards. While we didn’t win, getting to the final round of nominations is something our team is ecstatic about. You can check out the video from the Appy Awards ceremony. Watch the 17:00 minute mark, that is when you can see our logo on stage.

The second is that Tides Canada selects ten social change organizations each year that they feel are making huge inroads in building a more just and sustainable world. Framework made the 2009 list of finalists. We join a highly esteemed group of well-known charities across Canada.

Happy Holidays,

Anil
